A popular turnip variety, prized for its reliability, attractive uniform shape for market use, mild flavor, and dual-purpose roots and greens. They are sweet, tender, mild, and flavorful. Best when harvested when roots are small. Excellent raw when young, like a radish, or for roasting, boiling, pickling, and storage (flavor can intensify). The tall green tops are also edible and good for braising or cooking as greens. Stores well. Also known as Early White Egg Turnips. Excellent choice for home gardens.
