A popular variety is used for slicing and pickling. Grows best if grown on trellis or stakes for straight cucumbers. Suitable for northern and short season areas. Cold Tolerant. Drought Tolerant. The variety was developed in 1956 by Morden Research Station in Morden, Manitoba, Canada. An excellent choice for home gardens. United States Department of Agriculture, PI 279730.
