It has a mild, nutty flavor and is usually mixed with Endive, Mustard, and Arugula. Also known as Mache and Lamb’s Lettuce. Excellent for salads and garnishes. It can also be cooked like spinach or used as an herb for flavoring. Best if sown every 2 weeks for continued crops. It grows quickly in cool weather. You can grow these throughout the winter, as they can withstand temperatures as low as 5°F. Cold-Tolerant. An excellent choice for home gardens. A variety brought to the USA from Europe.
