This early-maturing bush plant produces high yields of 16" long, light grayish-green zucchini squash with dark green stripes. A popular heirloom summer squash variety, prized for its flavor and productivity. It has creamy, very flavorful flesh. It has a mild, nutty flavor superior to many modern dark-green zucchini. Great fresh, sautéed, grilled, baked, roasted, stuffed, or in breads/casseroles, and frozen. Developed by the University of Connecticut in 1949. An excellent choice for home gardens. A popular radish variety, prized as one of the easiest and fastest vegetables to grow, making it ideal for continuous harvests in cool weather and for filling gaps in the garden. They are crunchy, crisp, and very flavorful. Perfect for salads and garnishes. Stores well. Continue successive sowings every 1–2 weeks until about 4 weeks after the last spring frost. Sow again in late summer for fall harvest about 4 to 6 weeks before first frost. Suitable for container gardening, hydroponic gardening, and greenhouse production.
