Chiba Green Soybean Seeds

82 days. Glycine max. Open Pollinated. Chiba Green Soybean. The compact bush plant produces high yields of 2 ½” long soybeans. It is a popular soybean variety prized for being early-maturing, highly productive, often outperforming other popular varieties, and for its excellent flavor. The beans are green and are very flavorful. It is a high-quality soybean grown specifically for its tender, young green pods. Avoid waiting too long to harvest, as the pods will start to turn yellow, the beans will become hard and starchy, and they will lose their sweet flavor. After harvesting the beans, they should be cooked, blanched, and frozen soon after, to preserve their fresh flavor. It is best when planted in late spring or early summer. It is an Asian favorite. Perfect for small gardens. An excellent choice for home gardens and market growers. A variety from Japan.
