The plant has huge vines. The flesh is thick and creamy white and is more delicious than a sweet potato. Great when fried in a skillet with onions, garlic, and a little salt. Perfect for making pies and custards. Excellent keeper stores well for 6 months. It was grown by Thomas Jefferson at Monticello, Virginia.
