55 days. Solanum melongena. (F1) Hansel Eggplant. This early maturing plant produces high yields of 3 to 10" long shiny dark purple eggplants. It is non bitter and perfect for slicing thin onto pizza, casseroles, grilling, or stuffing. This variety is perfect for gourmet dishes. With most eggplants, you must remove the glossy purple skin to dispose of the bad taste, but not so with this variety. They are tender and non bitter. Best when harvested when 2 to 4" long. It has very few seeds. Grows extremely well in containers. Excellent choice for home gardens. A variety from the USA.
