Coffea arabica. Perennial. Open Pollinated. Coffee Beans Seeds. The tree produces beans that are roasted and ground into America’s favorite beverage - coffee. The tree has shiny foliage and fragrant white flowers. It is considered to produce better coffee than the other major commercially grown coffee species. Arabica contains less caffeine than any other commercially cultivated coffee species. Also excellent for school projects. Try growing your own coffee beans. You don't need to remove the parchment prior to planting. Just soak the seeds for about 8 hours prior to planting. It will take from 60 to 90 days to germinate. Seeds should not be kept too moist and allowed to almost dry out between watering. They must be in a very well drained soil.

They can be started inside or outside but with no danger of frost.

Coffee trees are fun to plant and grow and will last a lifetime if taken care of properly.
