Camellia sinensis (Thea sinensis). This small tree produces green tea leaves. Tea is world's most consumed drink. Young leaves are processed to make tea and green tea beverages. It is used as a medicinal use too. Tea stimulates the central nervous system, is diuretic and astringent, relaxes smooth muscles, and increases coronary flow. It has significant anticancer and antioxidant effects and even has been shown to prevent tooth decay on account of its high fluoride content. Can be grown indoors in containers. pk/5

Planting Instructions: Seeds should be cracked before planting! Upon arrival, seeds should be planted immediately. Plant seed twice as deep as the thickness of the seed, or 1 to 2" deep. Best of started indoors in plastic containers and transplanted into larger pots as plant grows. Do not overwater seeds! Jeep potting mix moist, but not too soggy,
