It is a popular cabbage variety prized as one of the more dependable and space-efficient early cabbages. It has very solid, nearly round, densely packed “stone-like” heads, hence the name. The heads average 5 to 6 inches in diameter and weigh 4 to 6 lbs. The solid, creamy-white interior stays crisp all the way to the core.
