It is prized for its large, globular white roots with creamy flesh, mild celery-like flavor with sweet and slightly peppery notes, and good storage qualities. Excellent in soups and stews, and used to make vegetable juice; shredded and used in salads with greens. Also known as Giant of Prague Celeriac and Rooted Celery. Stores well.
