A popular heirloom variety of collard greens, prized in the Southern USA for its tender, mild-flavored leaves and compact growth. Perfect for steaming, boiling, or stir-frying. Harvest young, tender leaves for the best flavor. Slow to bolt in hot weather. Heat Tolerant. Also known as Carolina Cabbage Collards. Traditional greens are grown in the South. Suitable for hydroponic gardening. It dates back to at least 1919 and was developed by the Morris Plant Farm in Hasty, North Carolina. Excellent choice for home gardens.
