Cold Stratification: Refrigerate for 2 to 4 weeks to improve germination.

Planting Instructions: Barely cover. Press into soil, but do not bury deeply. Use Miracle-Gro Seed Starting Mix and water gently. Avoid drying out or waterlogging. Light aids germination. 

Plant Thinning: Thin plants to 12 to 18" apart, rows about 36" apart.

Soil Facts: Requires well-prepared soil. Mulch to retain moisture and suppress weeds.

Fertilizer: Use a general-purpose fertilizer when preparing the soil; well-drained, humus-rich soil.

Germination: 14 to 21 days (sometimes longer) at 65-70 F. Requires 3 to 4 weeks for full maturity.
