Japanese Black Pine Bonsai Tree Seeds

Pinus thunbergii. Open Pollinated. Japanese Black Pine Bonsai Tree. This Bonsai tree produces has small bright green evergreen needles. The needles are in fascicles of two with a white sheath at the base. The bark is gray on young trees and small branches, changing to black and plated on larger branches and the trunk. It has resistance to pollution and salt and is a popular horticultural tree. A variety is native to Japan.

Planting Instructions: Soak in water. Let stand in water 24 hours. Plant seeds 1/4" deep.

Stratification:Cold stratify for 60 days.

Soil Facts: Requires a well prepared soil. Use general purpose fertilizer when preparing soil.
