Pinus thunbergii. Open Pollinated. This Bonsai tree produces has small bright green evergreen needles. The needles are in fascicles of two with a white sheath at the base. The bark is gray on young trees and small branches, changing to black and plated on larger branches and the trunk. It has resistance to pollution and salt and is a popular horticultural tree. A variety is native to Japan.
