Info:

European Greens are a curly leaf plant and is very easy to grow. They do not do well in very hot weather. You can have successive plantings by planting seeds every 4 weeks. European Greens seeds are usually planted directly in the garden. Plant your seeds as soon as the soil can be worked, 4 weeks before the last frost date and in August for a fall crop. Plants grow 3 - 6" tall.

Soil Requirements:

Requires fertile soil in a well drained location in the garden. Apply much and grass clippings, or straw around base of plant.

Water Requirements:

Water well during dry and hot spells. Water on the side of the plants and not directly on the leaves.

Fertilizer Requirements:

Use RootBlast, Vegetable Alive, and Slow Release Fertilizer when transplanting outdoors. Apply Miracle Gro periodically. Side dress with compost and manure.

Harvest Tips:

You can cut outer leaves as you need them if you want the plant to produce more leaves, or you can cut the entire plant at ground level.
