Cancer Bush

Lessertia frutescens. Perennial. Plant produces aromatic leaves used to treat cancer. It has red orange flowers that appear in spring. The leaves are very aromatic. Currently in clinical trials for treatment of cancer and AIDS. Infusion made from the leaves is a traditional remedy for fever, chicken pox, flu, rheumatism, hemorrhoids, diarrhea, and stomach and liver problems. Also used as an excellent wash for wounds. Planting Instructions: Soak seeds 3 hours before planting to soften hard seed coat. Plant seeds ¼" deep.

Soil Facts: Requires a well prepared soil. Use general purpose fertilizer when preparing soil.

Germination: 12-18 days at 70°F
